Relevant Policies for Warranty Services
Please read through our "Terms & Conditions" and "Warranty Services Information" before you make any payment.
First things first.
We guarantee that all products are purchased as “brand new, intact, unused, zero-usage (unless for checking purposes only, with clear visual proof) and taken from the store of the manufacturer or authorized reseller/distributor/dealer in good standing.” Simple.
If you, The Customer, tell us and explicitly request us in writing (email, SMS, Facebook page message), only then we will get a preowned/refurbished/‘second-hand’ item for you.
The following applies only for:
- stand-alone Graphics Processing Units/Desktop Graphic Cards also known as “GPU” used in personal desktop computers, from BOTH Malaysia and Thailand. (updated - December 21, 2022)
- some specific makes and models of Laptop Computers,
- specific audio accessories and devices from Sony (Sony items that we purchase from Malaysia only),
You pay only for the product when you buy from us. If there needs to be a claim for warranty service, you will pay us the fee at that time only and not before.
An example is as follows -
- You buy a Colorful iGame Mini OC from us at BDT 50,000/-. Fine.
- This means you pay that 50,000/- only at the time for purchase and no other fee.
- If there is ever the need for claiming the warranty (which we are quietly confident that you would not need, Inshallah), only then you pay the fee mentioned below in the clauses.
You also receive receipts for the product(s) purchased, no hide-and-seek. You can claim the warranty yourself at any time, on your own, using the receipt we will provide.
All of the following are effective from April 14, 2022 (Thailand clause updated on December 21, 2022).
Section A. For all GPUs:
1. Seller/distributor/manufacturer exclusively set the Terms and conditions for claims of replacement/repair. This is in line with whatever is in effect and operational in the country of purchase. The country of purchase, in all cases moving forward and until further notice, are Malaysia and Thailand only.
2. Seller/distributor/manufacturer will provide warranty in Malaysia and Thailand , based on and not restricted to information on the receipt, product category, batch, production time etc.
3. Seller/distributor/manufacturer, according to consumer law in effect in Malaysia and Thailand has the full, final and exclusive right to determine merit of claim.
4. The final decision of seller/distributor/manufacturer is full and binding and not contestable in any way whatsoever.
5. Unless otherwise mentioned in our posts on the Facebook page, we buy the products (eligible for the warranty service only) exclusively from Malaysia and Thailand ; hence length of effective warranty period may be determined by the concerned provider accordingly in Malaysia and Thailand .
6. If shipping time from Malaysia/Thailand to Bangladesh is affected by force majeure or any change in normal operating conditions in Bangladesh and Malaysia/Thailand, if the warranty period expires during that transitional or shipping period, the decision and the responsibility to allow the product to be placed in claim lies solely with the primary provider/seller/distributor/manufacturer in Malaysia and Thailand .
7. All conditions that we have mentioned up until this point are effective in conjunction with the primary RMA procedure in effect in Malaysia and Thailand .
8. We may need anywhere between 30 business days to 90 business days for the complete process of sending back to Malaysia/Thailand , followed by registering service request, authorization, repair/replacement by original manufacturer, return to shipper followed by return to Bangladesh.
9. Number of days required for the claim process to be completed is not fixed. It may be less than or more than the specified business days mentioned in Clause 8 above.
10.a. For GPUs only, The Customer in Bangladesh will be charged a fee of BDT 7,000/- during handing over the product to The UK Bazaar for initiating the claim process.
10.b. For laptops, audio equipment and other components and accessories, the information here will be updated at a later period.
11. The Customer will provide all necessary boxes, packaging, accessories along with the main product when handing over to The UK Bazaar for Clause 10.a. and Clause 10.b above.
12. Customer will be fully willing and ready to provide clear still photographs and clear video of product’s condition during which any malfunction/trouble may have occurred.
13. Warranty claims can be made only in Malaysia and Thailand . We will have all necessary documents regarding the purchase we make. Whenever we need to make any claim, we will use those. If you are in Malaysia/Thailand and want to make a claim yourself, that’s quite alright too; we will forward* (*conditions applied) the relevant information.
14. If The Customer is unable to send us the faulty product, we will collect it ourselves from the customer.
For a GPU, below are examples of conditions that void warranty, but not restricted to:
1. Removing, adding, altering, modifying the stickers, decals, decorative materials of any size, amount, magnitude that looks like was done using brute force to alter the external appearance of product. You may be confident that this has done zero damage, but this may have minimally/negligibly/temporarily affected the integrity of the product initially in a way that you unfortunately did not notice, resulting into increased damage over time during usage.
2. BIOS-flashing, software changes, emulation or forcible application of unauthorized software. If this causes permanent resulting into loss of performance in the immediate present or slowly into the future.
3. Doesn’t matter the size, amount, magnitude, but you removing, adding, altering, modifying any part of the hardware that might have in the slightest temporarily affected the integrity of the product in any way, and as a result increased the level of damage over time during usage.
4. Damage due to fluid of any kind and not restricted to: thermal pastes, cooler fluid, moisture in operating environment, water spill, liquid food spill, any beverage spill, residual moisture from your earlier cleaning attempts (yes, you read that right), damage due to dust, damage due to any foreign particle, rusting of any magnitude and amount, location of rusting on any part of the hardware, will completely and irrevocably void warranty.
5. Damage due to third-party hardware inside your PC’s/rig’s case, damage from and not restricted to: physical friction or pressure from other hardware inside the case, physical friction or pressure when you were seating/installing the GPU on the motherboard, ‘sagging’ or physical bending of the GPU-body due to gravity and not using a proper GPU holder or stand, software incompatibility/clash, extremely elevated levels of temperature, excessive power-draw by hardware that you did not buy from The UK Bazaar, faulty power supply unit that you did not buy from The UK Bazaar.
6. Damage due to and not restricted to under-powered power supply unit (PSU) used with your system.
7. Damage due to imbalanced power input through PSU from the mains and not using a constant, uniform, uninterrupted power supply (a UPS).
8. Damage due to surge of power from faulty main-line on your room’s wall, faulty wall-socket or power outlet that powers your PC, faulty PSU, faulty UPS, faulty surge protector, or already installed device(s) in your PC that is/are faulty.
9.a. Damage due to overclocking using any software to push the hardware performance beyond safe limit suggested in the guideline of manufacturer, as a result there is extremely high temperature in the GPU that may cause searing/burn/spark/heat damage to any part of the hardware.
9.b. Damage due to all situations mentioned in Clause #9.a. that may result into sudden power-surge/draw from the PSU, as a result damaging the GPU. (Appears like a wild idea? Well, you never know.)
10. Any and all forms of 'burn', heat-damage.
11. Crypto-currency mining, any form of block-chain operation. (Yes, that too.)
Section B: Laptops, Audio Equipment.
For Sony audio equipment, the conditions will be updated accordingly. (Watch this space!)
For laptops, we will be providing the services from January 2023. Unless otherwise stated, conditions will be mentioned on each laptop post made on the page.
For laptops, services will be provided for items from Malaysia and Thailand only.
